 | This is an ongoing project. The various tools and applications are modified versions of those used in the "EarthEd Online" software package. The code base and interface has been improved.
Planned additions are:

| Improvements to the Ocean data browser to include more data types and a streamlined user interface to the Lamont data library.

| Software foundation improvements to password protect images, movies, and presentations. Pdf file display currently supports password protection.

| Software foundation improvements to improve the system modularity and a software interface so users can add more sophisticated modules using Adobe Director.

| Content module downloading, so a configuration for a particular course can be specified and downloaded by students.

| Web downloadable version: A small installer will be downloadable. This installer will download and configure the system for the user. This will be implemented only after the fee model has been defined and implemented.

| Note re fees for use: The support of this application's continued development, and associated web server and resources, must be provided by income generated from the project. The initial NSF project to develop the software has been completed. The best model, for college level courses, seems to be a student fee model like that used for college textbooks. I am exploring a collaboration with an educational software courseware publisher. This fee system should also provide royalties to content providers. I envision this fee model to apply to complete laboratory or course curricula.
